The Tee Distance Control Drill (Stop Blasting Putts Past)

Most 3-putts don’t come from bad reads.

They come from bad speed

The Setup (At Home)

  • Place a tee (or coin) on the ground
  • Set up 6–10 feet away

Golf Course Strategy: Where Rounds Are Won and Lost

The Drill

  • Putt the ball so it finishes just past the tee
  • Not short
  • Not 3 feet by

Goal

Ball finishes within 6–12 inches past the tee

Do 10 reps.

If you don’t make all in the 6-12 inches. Start Over.

What This Builds

  • Proper speed bias (never short)
  • Distance control under constraint
  • Better lag putting instincts
